The Teen Project

Olivecrest & The Teen Project Meeting Places Program - The Teen Project Outreach program was created after an assessment of the local drop in centers. The assessment showed that the majority of youth visiting the two county drop in centers lived within 10 miles of the center. Due to a lack of transportation and resources the remaining youth did not have access to these resources. Based on this information, The Teen Project abandoned the 2007 direction of opening another drop in center and decided to reach all youth regardless of location. The Teen Project Outreach program meets youth at various locations throughout the county on a regular basis. The Teen Project Outreach volunteers bring youth:

• Bus Cards
• Food Cards
• Access to over 1000 shelter beds

Boystown, Orange County Social Services, Olivecrest and all shelter programs listed on our website http://www.theteenproject.us/thepad.aspx work together to create a protective community for our youth.

StandUp for Kids

The mission of STANDUP FOR KIDS is to help homeless and street kids. We do this, every day, in cities across America. We carry out our mission through our volunteers who go to the streets in order to find, stabilize and otherwise help homeless and street kids improve their lives. Our focus goes beyond street outreach and extends to deterrence and resource programs that we provide in schools and via the internet. But all facets of our mission are guided by the mandate that our volunteers shall tell kids they care about them and then, at every point, prove it.  Services are available for Youth 21 and under.
